The LM135, LM235, LM335 are precision temperature sensors which can be easily calibrated. They operate as a 2-terminal Zener and the breakdown voltage is directly proportional to the absolute temperature at 10mV/°K. The circuit has a dynamic impedance of less than 1Ω and operates within a range of current from 450µA to 5mA without alteration of its characteristics. Calibrated at +25°C, the LM135, LM235, and LM335 have a typical error of less than 1°C over a 100°C temperature range. Unlike other sensors, the LM135, LM235, LM335 have a linear output
Step 1: Gather the Required Equipment:
Step 2: Understand the LM335Z Temperature Sensor:
Step 3: Connect the LM335Z Temperature Sensor to the Breadboard:
Step 4: Upload the Code and Read Temperature Data:
void setup() {
Serial.begin(9600); // Start serial communication at 9600 bps
}
void loop() {
int sensorValue = analogRead(A0); // Read analog value from A0 pin
float temperature = (sensorValue * 0.00488 - 0.5) * 100; // Convert sensor value to temperature in Celsius
Serial.print("Temperature: ");
Serial.print(temperature);
Serial.println(" °C");
delay(1000); // Delay for 1 second
}
That's it! You have successfully connected an LM335Z temperature sensor to an Arduino Uno and read temperature data. You can now use this data for further processing or display as needed in your project.
