RDM6300 UART 125Khz RFID Reader Module

RDM6300 125KHz cardreader mini-module is designed for reading code from 125KHz card compatible read-only tags and read/write card . It can be applied in office/home security, personal identification, access control, anti-forgery, interactive toy and production control systems etc.

Here's a small tutorial on how to connect an RDM6300 UART 125Khz RFID Reader Module to an Arduino:

Materials:

• Arduino board
• RDM6300 RFID reader module
• Jumper wires

Instructions:

1. Connect the RDM6300 module to your Arduino as follows:
   • VCC of the module to 5V on the Arduino board.
   • GND of the module to GND on the Arduino board.
   • TXD of the module to a digital input pin on the Arduino board (e.g., D2).
   • RXD of the module to a digital output pin on the Arduino board (e.g., D3).
2. Open the Arduino IDE and create a new sketch.
3. In the sketch, include the SoftwareSerial library by adding the following line at the beginning:

4. Define two SoftwareSerial objects for communication with the RFID module. For example:

5. In the setup() function, initialize the Serial communication and the RFID module by adding the following code:
